Serial data showed in processing window...

Hi all

Lets say i vant to show the value that i can see via my terminal program sent from arduino, and show

that in a box in the processing window...

In other words, how do i transport serial data in to the processing vindow??

Probably by using a serial cable?

There are lot of topics on Arduino and Processing, and lot of references on the Web, what are you missing exactly? Your question is a bit vague.

Ok i mean the command for presenting readable serial data in processingwindow.

It seems i have now found somthing that would do that, and that is serialEvent()

Instead of read out serial data in the semiwindow to processing (println), i vant it

in the actual process window. I.e if i vant to make a voltmeter readout...

Is serialEvent the way to doo that???

have u seen these function in the processing software-> examples -> serial-> duplex??

text("Last Received: " + inByte, 10, 130);

text("Last Sent: " + whichKey, 10, 100);

}

void serialEvent(Serial myPort) {

inByte = myPort.read();

}

void keyPressed() {

// Send the keystroke out:

myPort.write(key);

whichKey = key;

}

u may want to define the variable define the variable inbyte as a string datatype. seems simple for me. is that wat u want?
