Search with Google Image "Visually Similar" process

Hi !

I'm a student and beginner with Processing, I'd like to know if there's a way to create a little app with Processing which :

Take a photo with the webcam (this point is ok)

Send it to google through the Visually Similar process and display the results (this is the point I'm stuck)

Visually Similar is the "new" (few months) research mode with Google Image who permit to look for a similary image you load, or drag in the research.

I found code which can do a research in Google Image but not with the Visually Similar process.

If someone got an idea, or help me about that I'll be grateful !

Search-by-image is not part of the (already deprecated) Google Image Search API.

The alternative is TinEye which does have an API, but is commercial.

Hi,

I don't know if you are still interested but I sort of haphazardly slapped something together similar to this. I used jpegcam and then just added a javascript command to open up a new window directing the image search to the picture saved. You can see it here. It's not really pretty as it was just a cut and paste job but if you have any other ideas for it let me know.
