Scan via Processing , possible?

Hey,
I heard that it migh be possible to scan via processing, with a twain library or something like that ?
Some link are given here " https://forum.processing.org/topic/using-scanner-via-twain-wrapper-without-gui " but all dead.

What i'd like to do is hack the scanner in a certain way , i'd like him to scan differently . I don't know is it possible .
When i say differently is that i'll make it scan just some part on a document or scann only part with blue color or red color or other stuff. I have no idea is this is possible to control the scanner but first of all i need to know how to scan and manage the data of this scanner directly via processing.

The inspiration came from that video , http://www.the-product.org/rube-goldberg-processor , which i really love.
I would like to be able to do the same and make the data of the scanner going out differently.

Maybe you'll be able to help me :)

Or just drag'n'drop the jars to the PDE opened on your sketch, it will put them in a folder named code.

okay thank ! So now i don't really understand what i have to type in processing to make the scann work.
For now i have this , they say i can't import mms twain and mms sane at the same time . I guess it's kind of logic.
On the link you have , they talk about Morena, do i have to get this sofware to make the scanner work with processing ?

Processing programs don't have a main(), and static variables are not necessary.

so i still on this mess, i check the HP backend which is called HPLIP for most of HP All in one photosmart...
The problem is that that HPLIP is not available on MACOSX so i didn't find a issue to fix that.
I heard about compile and run with XTOOL but didn't really get it .
If someone is in the same case , please help me.

I don't have time to test this right now (no scanner connected directly on my computer, I have to test elsewhere), but just for the sake of advancing the discussion, perhaps you can show your sketch, how you call the class shown above.

I can't really explain many things about the code above because somebody gave it to me. In fact, i've understand that if when you type in the terminal "scanimage" and the scanner is not scanning it means that it will never work in processing because the function is called though the terminal.
