Running applet in HTML since 2.0 update

I have exported my application and am trying to display it on my website, and was referencing the processing forum Here. However everything about applets is scratched out since the update, and I can't find any post-update information. If applets aren't supported what should I use?
Furthermore when I export I don't get a class file, only a .java I'm having lots of issues compiling it through cmd. I do get the .jar and .pde files though.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The Export Applet option is no longer supported in Processing 2.0 but it is possible to export as an application and use the jars for your website it is not straightforward.

I have created a Processing tool that will export a Processing sketch as an applet provided the sketch

was created created with Processing V2.0b7 or later
the sketch works in JAVA mode
the sketch uses the default renderer, JAVA2D

Important Note: It will not work with the P2D, P3D and OPENGL renderers because all these use OpenGL and that does not work well in a web browser.

As well as exporting an applet the tool enables you to 'sign' the applet (provided you have a JDK (Java Development Kit) installed on your computer.

I was having problems with getting the Applet Signing to work on MacOSX but I just solved that problem an hour ago. I have not been able to test the tool on a Linux machine but I am confident that it will work there too.

When I release it I will make an announcement in the "Library and Tool Development" forum.

You either have to continue using v1.5.1 or...
you can w8 for some1 to develop some means to accomplish that!

I've heard somewhere that quarks are doing something about it!

Oh, posted just after quarks had!

But as I had already mentioned, Linux and other x86/x64 OSes can run just fine
in a virtual disk inside a virtual machine emulator.
Examples are VirtualBox & VMPlayer. And there are others!
