I was wondering how I can achieve this: take a color variable that includes r,g,b,a and pass it to another color variable with only r,g,b, but get the same color.

Ok, so I did the following conversion but it seems that it does not convert RGBA to RGB. If you check the variable that I print at the end, it shouldn't be 255, but it should have changed to something smaller.

And to clarify this better, assume that you have a color with RGB values of 255 and an alpha value of 125 (mid grey), it equals to an RGB value of 125 each (same grey color).

Any ideas?

Mid gray if what is under it is black... I mean it depends on the color below... In the case you picked, 125 is 50% percent of original color. Easy to calc.
