Restarting a sketch automatically

Hi guys,

can anybody help me? I want to restart a sketch from scratch every 1000 frames and save the file to a new name every time the sketch runs.

does anyone have a clue as to how this is done? I've read a bit about using setup() but I can't seem to get my head around it.

Don't use setup(). Use a function doing all the initialization (setting up arrays or objects, etc., resettings other variables, no need to reload fonts or images) and call it in setup and at the right count of frames:

void setup()
{
size( ... );
img = loadImage( ... );
frameRate(30);
// And so on
// ...
InitSketch();
}
void draw()
{
if (frameCount % MAX_FRAME_NB == 0) // 1000
{
saveFrame( ... ); // Add params
InitSketch();
}
// Do normal drawing
}
