Question about rss feeds and processing

Hi there

I'm using processing with an rss feed and i have a quick question. does the rss feed refresh itself with the latest post in it?

as in the post i have stores 15 pieces of data but it never seems to update itself with anything new unless i stop the program and run it again.?

Does anyone know anything more about this?

RSS feeds use the HTTP protocol, which is, basically, a pull protocol: a server never push information by itself, it only reply to requests from a client. (There are extensions to this behavior, but most of Internet today works this way.)

So, you need to request again the feed if you need to see if there is an update. I believe that's what a feed reader does: it regularly polls all the RSS addresses it has.

ok i'm not sure how to do this really. Do you have any idea or any way of pointing me in the right direction with it?
