PS3 Eye & Proceesing & OpenCv... does not work

Hey,
I'm trying to get Processing using OpenCv with the PS3 Eye working.
I used this driver:

Works fine with the test app but not with processing/OpenCV.
Using another USB cam, I don't get any problems.

Does anyone has the same problem or even better a way to solve it?

My understanding is that the new versions of the PS3 drivers are what is causing the problem. On the old Processing forum there were a lot of people (using the old PS3 drivers by AlexP from nuigroup forum) who had no problems using the PS3-Eye with other libraries for blob tracking, like JMyron. However, some people reported having problems with the new CL-Eye drivers. Unfortunately I cant find the old drivers anywhere, so I'm stuck in the same boat as you :(

Hi Tobi,

Are you on a mac or pc? I'm on a mac having just gotten a ps3 eye, I had some trouble getting opencv to "see" the camera. I found a workaround here, but haven't tried it out yet. The Processing Video Library uses the ps3 eye just fine out of the box with the macam drivers. There have been accounts of it working with GSVideo. But I haven't mustered the courage yet to get GStreamer/GVideo working in Snow Leopard.
