by design there's only one interactiveFrame per scene which you may retrieve with scene.interactiveFrame() (note that it may be null). You may have a collection of interactiveFrames and select one of them as the scene.interactiveFrame() by calling scene.setInteractiveFrame(myIFrame) (you can change it any time you want).

An interactiveFrame is also a MouseGrabbable which means you can attach any objects to it and then manipulate them with the mouse (or an HIDevice). Please have a look at the MouseGrabbers example where there are multiple interactiveFrames (all of which you can manipulate). Note that you can implement your own MouseGrabbers (have a look at the implementation of the "buttons" at the CameraInterpolation example).

The scene.interactiveFrame() is a special case where you can easily focus the interaction to the iFrame (rather than to the camera) with a keyboard shortcut (for example defined as scene.setShortcut('i', Scene.KeyboardAction.FOCUS_INTERACTIVE_FRAME).

Yes, that is exactly what I did. Few minutes after I posted the question I found a bunch of examples included with the library! Basically just as you said, one must implement multiple interactive frames.

I've got another problem which I can't solve... I'm rendering a 3D model using OBJLoader and I would like to add a light source to the scene. The problem is that whenever I rotate the scene, the light source (for now just a simple directional light) also rotates with it. This appears like only one side of the model is lit. I want that the light source is in a fixed location. How can I do that?
