ProControll library with 64bit processors

Hey everyone,

I was trying out the ProControll library on a new machine. I'm working with eclipse on a windows7 machine.

Now after adding the library to the path and adding the folder for native library. When i start the applet i get the exception:

Exception in thread "Animation Thread" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\Processing\processing-1.5.1\modes\java\libraries\procontroll\library\jinput-dx8.dll: Can't load IA 32-bit .dll on a AMD 64-bit platform

does anybody know how to deal with that. if i can bypass this or if i need another dll to get it running.

The simple answer you need a 64 bit dll (not always available though), I'm not familiar with the ProControll library, but this is a common issue for native libraries (and has only recently been fixed for the core libraries like opengl). Sometimes the 64 bit binaries can be found in jar, this used to be the case with opengl, in which case they can be extracted.

the libraries are included in the Jmonkey engine:

http://code.google.com/p/jmonkeyengine/source/browse/trunk/lib/lwjgl/native/windows/?r=4832

you can also find the

jinput-dx8_64.dll

and

jinput-raw_64.dll

on 4shared or something

copy them somewhere and remove the _64 from their name, because the library is looking for the old names.

Well, I tried this solution, using Processing 2.0, and got the following new linker error:

"%1 is not a valid Win32 application"

Any ideas? Should I try an older version of Processing?
