Processing Window freezing

Hello, I am having an issue where my processing application keeps freezing when I leave it running. Often, it freezes after I hibernate, leave my computer unattended for more than ten minutes, etc. I am running Windows 7 in 64 bit with 64 bit Java installed. What happens it that I will navigate to the processing window and it will turn gray (inactive mode). Then, the icon on the bar will turn to the Java cup logo. Windows does not give me the usual prompt the the program has not stopped running that I usually do when a program freezes. It does not respond to right click > exit; I have to go to the command prompt and exit the process that way.

Any ideas why it might be doing this?

I always had issues with the hibernate functionality among the various versions of Windows...
At work, currently, that's Explorer that crashes (task bar is blank), so I have to kill it with the Task Manager and to restart it with the same tool.
At home, sometime Firefox is unresponsive after the wake up, and I might need to kill it too.
And Processing make take between 10 seconds and one minute to wake up too.
Perhaps it depends on the amount of memory it uses and it needs to restore from disk, etc.

So, basically, Processing isn't alone with this issue, and I don't think there is a general fix for this (but if there is, I would love to learn it!).

That's the thing, it does not occur only when I use the hibernate function on my computer, it occurs when the program is left inactive for some time. Programs like Firefox and the task bar do not freeze when I hibernate my computer.

As far as hibernation, I notice that it really is different for each computer model and operating system. Right now, I'm not having any issues with hibernation except that once in a while I'll need to restart because of RAM issues. For example, when I use Ubuntu with this computer I don't have any issues with hibernation what-so-ever, even if I am using a laptop... but laptops running Windows tend to have this problem more, in my experience.
