Processing Version

I'm just getting started and I'm trying to determine if Processing is 32 bit or 64 bit. The tutorial says that I can copy the Processing folder to the Program directory, but Windows 7 has both 32 and 64 bit directories.

I run Processing on Windows 7 64 bit, and the program is installed in the 32 bit directory.
I'm pretty sure that Processing is just compiled for 32 bit.

OK. That's what I was thinking, but I've encountered problems with some software when trying to run 32 bit code on a 64 bit machine.

Processing is java, which can run in either 32bit or 64bit mode, (and if you are using a machine with 64 bit OS it depends which jdk you are using either 64bit or 32bit). By default processing comes with a 32 bit jdk, and if that works for you, stick with it. However if your machine, and more importantly your OS is 64bit there can be advantages to using a 64bit jdk, particularly if you require a "lot" of memory to run your sketches.
