Naaice and nifty tool! :)

I liked that it 'sticks' to the Processing IDE window when placed on the left. It would be nice if it would stick also when placed to the right of the IDE.

This tool is so essential for larger projects, I use it all the time at work, but had trouble finding again when I was at home.

you are right, the styling of the tabs is indeed a bit confusing:
so, here are some hints:

styling-line example (has to be placed in the first row of the sketch-tab):
// TabManager.config: id=2.02111; margin=30, 0, 0; height=18; col=#000000;

• id=float; ..................defines the order: relative to the id's of the other tabs
• margin=int, int, int; ........... indention of the tab: left, top, bottom
• height=int; ............... height of the tab: pixels
• col=hex; ...............#redgreenblue

for the id-ordering to work properly, all the sketch-codes(tabs) must have a styling-line in the very first row.
if the style-settings are in the second row, or somewhere else, they are not recognized. ... and part of the id-ordering probably gets messed up.

ad 3)
the missing scrolling functionality is a real drawback
i used my own UI-library, which hasnt a build in scrolling, so maybe i should have been using controlP5, etc.
but in case the sketch has that many tabs, you can set a lower tab-height for now, or ......switch to eclipse ;), which is a generall advise for large projects.


in generall, the layout of the tabs could be improved a lot, but i wanted to keep the tool as simple and small as possible. also because it shouldnt use to much CPU-resources.


btw. the tool comes with the source-code, so everyone feel free to modify/improve/adjust the tool.
