processing slows down if there are too many images

Hi,

I am thinking of creating a processing application that is like Angry birds.

I realised that if I were to use too many images processing will slow down.

Is there anyways of optimizing the speed of rendering and the application?

I sincerely hope you could enlighten me?

Should I use another SDK instead of processing if I were to develop applications like Angry birds?

It's pretty hard to optimize non-existent code.

Why not write the app first and then see if it's necessary to optimize.

If it is, find the biggest bottleneck and try to optimize that.

What is too many images? 10, 100, 1000000?

This is a general question, so the general response could be that using OPENGL could be faster.

For that you could look at GLGraphics or Processing 2.0 (alphas).
