Hello everyone,

i am going to do a school project that wanna grab some data from Facebook.(e.g. status update)

and there are less tutorial to teach how to get data through Facebook Graph API to processing. and i am too fresh on coding. So, my friend told me that, how about using RSS to get the live feed.

and i have find some example in the web but seen like outdated,

i am new in processing , which way i should go for?

in processing 1.5, the methord of using XMLElement seem changed.

Is their any way for you can suggest me to learning for it?or any suggestion can guide my to the right way that link up to facebook and gather some information in it? i am a beginner of processing.

Just tried the code above, without the import statement, and it works fine. Processing 1.5.1, Windows 7.

I also used the same examples:

to build my code that works fine in 1.5.1

Now I'm trying to migrate across to 2.0a5

I saw bustup's comment on https://forum.processing.org/topic/xmlelement-just-not-working, and I also found this page: http://wiki.processing.org/w/Changes

But it wasn't clear to me immediately what to do

Thus I looked in the reference, but the reference for 1.5.1 refers to XMLElement, and the reference for 2.0a5 doesn't have anything for XML at all.

So just wanted to flag it up, as others might be looking for XML in the 2.0a5 reference also

Anyway, for everyone else, making the following changes to Sas_recon's code seemed to fix it :

XML rss = loadXML(url);
// Get title of each element
// XMLElement[] titleXMLElements = rss.getChildren("channel/item/title");

String title = titleXMLElements[i].getContent();
println(i + ": " + title);
}
