Processing Present Mode with Max/MSP controlling sound

I have a Processing sketch that I would like to run in present mode (full screen) for projection purposes, and my sketch is connected with Max/MSP, which controls the sound while the sketch is running.

However, I found that when I use Present Mode, the sound would not come out at all. When I run the sketch as a normal size (ex. displayWidth, displayHeight) the sound works great.
