Processing executable on external monitor?

How can I get my Processing executable file to display in an external monitor? The monitor is connected and working, and I can move the window from my regular Processing program over to the external and it displays just fine. But the executable insists on opening on my laptop and there's no way to move it. Ideas?

Hi Steele,

look into using an undercorated frame:

then when you export, uncheck the 'full screen' option.

the tricky part is figuring out what the location of the top left of your second screen is. from your main display you should be able to add (or subtract) pixels. for example if your main screen is 1920px wide then your frame.setLocation() would use (1920, 0) assuming the tops of the screens are in line.

on windows if you right click on the desktop choose display setup, then drag the little previews of your screens around it should show the x, y of the screen you are dragging.

Thanks for the solution. It actually works quite nicely. The animation comes up in the second screen, and I can tinker with the placement to get it in the right place.

However, prior to putting in the Undecorated frame code, the animation ran nice and smooth in either screen, but now, it is unacceptably jerky and halting. I can't figure out what could be causing that. ???
