processing: determine version at runtime

Hi!

I'd like to know at runtime which verison of processing I'm running for write a sketch that acts in different ways if it is on processing 2.0 or in processing 1.5

But in PConstants I don't find any version variable..

You have got the Hardcore way on Mac:

String[] lines = loadStrings("/Applications/Processing.app/Contents/Info.plist");
for (int i = 0; i < lines.length; i++) {
int position = lines[i].indexOf("CFBundleShortVersionString");
if (position != -1) {
println(lines[i + 1].substring(12, 17));
}
}

On windows, you have got a file ?/lib/version.txt

The problem is that lot of things won't compile in one version or another: that's not C's conditional compilation, for example...

ohu i'm importing core.jar in eclipse so if you refer to the new java syntax for example.. i don't care too much about it..

but I think it is really weird not to have a version constant.. is there some kind of bug tracking where i can post it?
