processing and supercollider library version problem

Hi there, and merry christmas by the way.

I want to make processing be able to communicate to supercollider via the processing-sc library. But when I try to run the example code ( here) I get the error:

NoSuchMethodError: You may be using a library that's incompatible to this version of Processing.

So I suposed I was using the processing 2.0 version of the library and downloaded the v0.2.2 of the library. But again the same error.

I'm still using Processing 1.5.1 and I don't want to change to 2.0 until the final release.

So, any suggestions? I think I could try with 2.0 just to see if there it works.

Not. Just tried Processing 2.0a4 and the same error.

I don't know what it can be.

So, debugging the thing I just get to the issue: it seems to have problems with creating the synth on the line:

synth.create();

All the other sc related lines on the code work fine.

Hi,

Apologies, was just notified about this problem. The library is based upon oscP5, some of whose methods have changed in the recent 0.9.8 release. I've now rebuilt it using an up-to-date oscP5, which seems to have rectified the issue.

I had exactly same error displayed recently on OSX 10.7 but with oscP5 0.987 and the SuperCollider library in Processing 1.5. It seemed it was a permission issues - so I just ran "chmod -R 777 *" in the terminal for all libraries (just to be sure) and it fixed the issue.

Hi,

I have tried this library but only the SynthCreate and SytnhDraw examples work, the rest show the following message in processing's console and don't produce any sound in sc:

oscEvent: /fail

Does this refer to incoming oscMessages from sc? I'm using latest version of oscP5 and p5_sc/erase and both processing 1.5 and 2.0b6.

I had some problems setting up supercollider as I'm using and external usb audio interface, but installing ASIO4ALL and adding s.options.device_("ASIO : ASIO4ALL v2"); to the start up file solved them.
