Problems with screen size

I write screen size 400, 300, but displays the default size of 100, 100, thus cutting off most of my image. This problem persists when I open example codes. I use Windows Vista 32 bit. Help!

Are you calling size() before anything else in setup()? http://processing.org/reference/size_.html
