Can you be a bit more explicit? How "Processing forces" you? Can you show a simple sketch showing the problem?

Well here is a sample

I would like this loadStrings to look like this loadStrings("mshape1.txt") without the whole path. The error goes like this


"The file "mshape1.txt" is missing or inaccessible, make sure the URL is valid or that the file has been added to your sketch and is readable."

and it is both accessible and added to my sketch.

Works for me, Windows 7 64bit, Java 1.6.0_25 32bit, Processing 1.5 inside the PDE.
But there is a known issue with exported applets on Windows, which should be fixed in 1.5.1.

well I have 1.5.1 and it still does not work...I really hate this but probably there is a solution...for now I guess that exporting is out of the question, which is a pity...
