Hei guys,

I'm new and I have a problem with my project.

I need to sitch on a led so I need to send an impuls to arduino that say that when I hold 'a' the led switch on.

The problem consist that when I stop to hold the letter 'a' the led still be ON.

Anyone knows why? And how can I solve it?

You can use an event function when a key is pressed to turn a LED on -> keyPressed() {}

Plus, an event function for when a key is finally released, so you can send the off signal -> keyReleased() {}

I don't know how you're doing it now (BECAUSE YOU'VE NOT POSTED ANY CODE SHOWING US HOW YOU ARE DOING IT), but I imagine that you'd want to have something like the following lines of code in your sketch:

void keyPressed(){
if( key == 'a' ) switchOn();
}
void keyReleased(){
if( key == 'a' ) switchOff();
}

Just to add to tfguy44's sample; here's a small modification to make it immune to Caps Lock and/or Shift:

I've almost solved the problem but actually I can't send the information to Arduino and I don't know why.
