Problem with Android

When I choose Android in Processing it starts to write errors like

And every time I try to do something, even just resize window it repeats and noting works.

What should I do?

Can you show your code ?

This seems like a Java program that uses classes that aren't compatible with Android...

Can you run a simple example ?

There is no code, it apears when I just choose Android.

No, I can't, it just keeps writing this errors.

Me too. Have followed all the advice I could find about modes and have managed to install them. Have set the various environment variables and the Android SDK path in the Processing preferences file, but am stuck on this issue.

Hi,

My platform is as follows:

1. Windows 7 64 bit

2. Processing 2 - 32 bit

3. Android SDK tools - Rev 22.0.1

4. Processing is installed in C:\ and Android sdk is installed at: C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk

I solved the above issue by doing the following:

1. Download the Android Mode zip file from the URL: http://android.processing.org/AndroidMode.zip

2. Unzip the file in the following folder (if the folder is not present, create it):

C:\Users\xxx\Documents\Processing\modes - Here xxx represents your username

3. Make sure that the 'Android Mode' folder has multiple files, not just AndroidMode.jar.

4. Open the preference file at C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\Processing\preferences.txt - there is a preferences.txt file in the processing installation folder - don't edit it.

5. Add the Android SDK path in the preference.txt file: android.sdk.path=C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk

Now, if you start Processing, it should have an Android tab on the main menu.

I downloaded Processing 2. So should all occurrences of "/Processing/" in the solutions be replaced by
"processing-2.0"

eg in "C:\Users\xxx\Documents\Processing\modes" etc.

I've had endless trouble trying to get Android installed - is there a step by step description of the process, with the directories etc nice and explicit, which desribes the whole process, anywhere???

You don't need the sketches folder. Just copy and extract the AndriodMode.zip file in the My Documents folder " "C:\Users\xxx\Documents\Processing\modes""

Nope. If you read my post, I also have Processing 2. When you install Processing 2, it creates the directory structure with Processing in it. So just follow as I described.

Can you please elaborate what problems you encountered while installing Android? Do you mean Android SDK?
