PROBLEM using WEBCAM

Hey there processing community

I'm very amateur using processing, and for the first time I'm trying to use the webcam with it, following this, for example:

I installed VDIG, but with every single code that includes video capture, I have this error messages:

I tried everything that I could but it doesn't work. The strange this is that the webcam works perfectly with any other software...
What should I do?

I'm running into a very similar problem with winvdig 1.1, quicktime 7.6.9, processing 1.2.1 and a logitech communicate stx running on windows 7 x64.

Through processing or the "QTCap" winvdig test app i get

"0Logitech QuickCam Communicate STX-WDM : Problem connecting Video Output to Video Renderer"

I feel a bit like i'm hitting a brick wall with processing + the video library on windows. Would just love to get this working though. Thanks!

EDIT: I should add that I just tried using the openFrameworks "movieGrabberExample" project and it worked fine. My understanding that uses "DirectShow" instead of quicktime, so not super helpful. But it verifies the webcam is working properly.

guys,

i'm going through the same problem - win7, quicktime7, newest processing version, winVDIG 1.01... webcam works perfectly in other applications - but not in connection with quicktime, so with processing. i just get a weird colored pixelated image out of it.
has anybody of you found a solution to this problem?

very greatful for any advise!
