Problem importing pbox2d library

I am facing a problem importing the pbox2d library given as part of the box2d tutorial by Daniel Shiffman.

Processing 1.5.1 cant seem to locate the library though i copied the pbox2d library folders into 'libraries' folder in processing sketchbook folder.

I tried importing another library the same way and it works. Any guidance is appreciated.

Show the exact path of the jar file.

i copied the full pbox2d folder into the sketchbook folder from github from here:

https://github.com/shiffman/PBox2D

which did not work.

So I tried putting just the jar file which is in

/documents/processing/libraries/pbox2d/library/pbox2d.jar

Also not working.

Is there a definite hierarchy structure to be followed?

If /documents/processing is your sketchbook location, it should indeed be OK.
The " definite hierarchy structure" is explained in https://forum.processing.org/topic/how-to-install-a-contributed-library
I haven't seen instructions on install (nor where you got the jar file), but perhaps you need to put the JBox2D jar next to the pbox2d one.

Thanks for the link phi.lho .. the issue is fixed and i think it was the file hierarchy and case mismatch in original files.

To whoever else that encounters the same problem,

Here is what you do.

1. Download pbox2d from github.

2. Create libraries folder in the sketchbook folder for processing ( If you dont have one already)

3. Create 2 folders: pbox2d and jbox2d

4. Create 2 folders inside each: library, src.

5. Move pbox2d.jar from the download to pbox2d->library. (rename actual names as these for simplicity) , move .java into src if you want.

7. Move jbox2d.jar (jbox2d library) from the download to jbox2d->library.

8. Restart processing, goto sketch->import, these libraries should be there.

9. Try running the examples in the downloaded pbox2d folder.

If you click download on the github page and grab pbox2d.zip if should have all the files you need in the right directory structure. Let me know if that still doesn't work!

(As an aside, there will be a major update to this library soon to work with box2d 2.0)
