There is not really a timer built into Processing, but perhaps you refer to the second() function.
There is no ready-made way to watch a value, so you have to keep the previous value and compare the current one with the old one:
// Global
int old;

Somewhere:
if (second() > old) // Different, use > in case two or more seconds were spent
{
  println("One more second...");
  old = second(); // Update for the next time!
}

If ((second = 0) > (old = 59)) then the if statement doesn't trigger.
It can be: if (second() != old)

But perhaps a silly question, but why do you want to view a variable every second?

lancastermusic123, you can add a boolean, like:
boolean bHasChanged; // False by default if global

if (!bHasChanged && second() > oldValue)
{
  bHasChanged = true;
  println("Changed!");
}

so, if you want to print again, you have to change bHasChanged to false again.

@PhiLho In the IF statement, just before 60 seconds (1 minute), then the old variable became 59. Second becomes now 0, what is not creater than 59. So Old will not update again.

@Lancaster There is a option to capture the output of the console and write this to a textfile. This way you can print allot of information to the console.

Ah, OK, I was just dumb, thinking of second() working like millis(), but you are right! So != is indeed better here, even more as there is less chance to miss it than with millis().
