Hello,
I was thinking it would be cool to have some kind of preset browser for processing.
For instance, if you are making a sketch, you're often changing values constantly, and seeing the results of the effects when you run the sketch.
But it would be nice to be able to hit save to a preset - which would remember the particular values of that set.
Maybe I'm just being lazy, but it seems silly to have to save a sketch every time you change one value.
Because often the results are interesting, heck, they're all interesting, and you end up with reams and reams of pde files.
Maybe there could be, a presets pallette, which stores information about what changed from the parent sketch.
It's like there could be some differentiation between a 'sketch' and a 'project'.
You create a 'project' , with its own folder and data files. Inside this Project folder is the sketches, and the presets.
When in a Project you could create a new new sketch, or save a preset relevant to that sketch.
Even more amazing, would be if you could flick through these presets, while the sketch was still running.
Maybe that's not possible, I don't know.
But I wonder if anyone gets what I'm talking about.
To me, the sketchbook structure is pretty messy. But maybe that's just dependant on how I've got it organised.
