Here is a temporary fix for PeasyCam on Windows with Processing 2.0b7.

If you are having problems with the official version, you can try this until there is an official release.

Works on linux, with exception that there is no mouse wheel zoom (as I had expected).

No, doesn't work on OSX. I'm pretty sure that's a bug with Processing 2.0b7, not with PeasyCam.

@ monkstone, I think the mouse wheel zoom might be another thing pending Processing due to the new Event system.

Not sure... I only have a mac for testing. Hope they add in some basic touchEvents as well for Android.

I know I reported it but timpulver claimed to have fixed it or something. (I was sceptical so I did not even bother trying his fix).......

By the way if you agree with me please vote for the fix (there may be more of a chance it gets done).

@timpulver, the MouseEvent is reporting the wrong code (0) instead of the proper code (37 - left mouse button / 39 - right mouse button). So PeasyCam never does anything because it doesn't know what is being pressed.

PConstants . LEFT is equal to 37, but "b" is always reporting 0 in OpenGL on OSX.

This line checks for the left mouse drag action that rotates PeasyCam:

So this code never executes. If you were to change PConstants . LEFT in this code to 0, then it would rotate fine, but of course, that is not what b is suppose to report.

Don't know when e.getButton() actually should be 0. (Probably when no button is pressed!?)

Would like to try some workarounds but my OS X setup seems to be screwed up, pmouseX and pmouseY are not working anymore with 2.0b7.

Ya, b == 0 when no button is pressed, but that does work, same on the center / left+cmd, but right click wouldn't work and wheel scroll is still dead. :(

I changed a few lines to make PeasyCam work with the new event system, which was enough on windows. Found out about the problem on OS X later...

@timpulver, could you verify the mouseWheel is working in Windows. Zoom can be done in two ways, rightclick+drag and mouseWheel. So just want to check that both are working on Windows, as it seems odd that the wheel is working. This would appear to be a different issue as it's using AWT mouseWheel.

This is getting curious and curiouser, I have just tested a direct implementation of a mouse wheel listener in a sketch and it works just fine (albeit ruby-processing but that should not make any difference). It just seems to be the registering of the listener from a library that is borked in linux with processing-2.0b7.

Indeed, I tested one as well. The mouse listener works fine in P2D, but fails in P3D/OpenGL. This is similar to the mouseButton.

You don't seem to get it do you....PeasyCam is not part of core the fork of peasycam has a fix (the problem came from changes to the core for processing-2.0). The mousewheel issue is deffierent and needs a fix in the core as well (at least on linux and probably the mac).

I'm waiting 2.0b8 to be released. They've fixed most of the issues with 2.0b7, but are still working on the mouseWheel (last I checked it was going in reverse).

As a status update, 2.0b8 was released and while the mouse button actions were fixed, the wheelscroll is not. In fact, at some point between 2.0b7 and 2.0b8 it sort of worked (scroll reversed) in OpenGL, but now it no longer does that. It's still in the in-work category, only being partially implemented, but not yet functional. Here is the bug ticket if you want to follow it: https://github.com/processing/processing/issues/1461

I have updated my build of PeasyCam for version 2.0b8, which includes the updated mouseWheel event, so when Processing is fixed (by later beta release or daily revisions) it should work. It is available here: https://github.com/jeffg2k/peasycam/blob/master/distribution/peasycam.zip?raw=true

As they release code for touch events, I'll try to include them as well.

I tried the latest PeasyCam within the latest Processing 2.0b8, and the wheelscroll is not working at the time being.

But I'll have to revert to Processing 2.0b6 to utilize the full functions of the older version of PeasyCam.
