This is the second time this is happened. I've use plenty of editors, and have been programming for years, this just doesn't happen to me. It is not like I'm going to hit ctl-A then delete time and time again. I'm also not the only one that this has happened to. There is another on this forum. I'm not sure if I can reproduce the behaviour, but it is something to do with JRE being stopped prematurely or crash, but there is no excuse for that resulting in the file being cleared entirely.
It is fair to say I'm pretty pissed about it. This isn't a new one, I've been working on it for months.
I love processing, and I'm first to sing it praises, however the editor/IDE is terrible and shouldn't be used IMO. Personally I think it would be better off bundle with Scite. It is really easy to extend, and it can provide the exact same functionality and do it 10 times better. It would also only a few days, possibly a week conservative to code.
On the surface the IDE is OK, but scratch beneath you see things are not always well implemented, it is incomplete. I don't really see the point of reinventing the wheel. It is not mature, and unsurprisingly it is not the priority for development. Get rid.
