Is it possible to set some preference so that the text area can be bigger?

As it is, it opens to about half size.

It is usually enough, but when debugging more would be better.

Added: I am adding an image cause what I mean is not clear.

I want to make the black text area higher.

The default.window.width and default.window.height are for the whole window.

Can't you just re-size Processing? There should be a corner or something that you can grab and re-size or just press the expand to screen button. If your using a mac, you can jut press the green button or grab the corner and re-size.

If you want to change it (semi-)permanently (instead of resizing each time), open preferences.txt and change default.window.width and default.window.height values.

Okay, from what I know, I don't think you can... but, I am still very new, so I may be wrong.

Try and change the console.lines property in the same file. I use a value of 20.

No, no effect at all. I tried changing all those, to no effect at all.

console.lines=2
editor.window.height.min=430
editor.window.height.min.windows=530

Are you sure you edit the right file?
Beside, if you want to make the console area bigger, augment the value, don't decrease it.
