Hi,

I get this error in my project:

FATAL EXCEPTION: Animation Thread

java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: bitmap size exceeds VM budget

at processing.core.PApplet.handleDraw(Unknown Source)

at processing.core.PGraphicsAndroid2D.requestDraw(Unknown Source)

at processing.core.PApplet.run(Unknown Source)

at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:1019)

It looks to be related to some PImages, I can't get why it is out of memory as all my pictures together are worth 400ko...

Beware, the files might be small, but the resulting bitmaps, in memory, can be much bigger. An extreme case is a very big image using only one color: the file is probably very small as it compresses very well, but once loaded in memory, it will take 4 bytes per pixel!

Hi,

Thanks for the information, It would be nice to know how much memory are used It would be nice to know how much memory are used then. I manage to avoid this issue by killing PImage when are not used:

Pict = null;
