openGL perspective with depth

Hello,

I'm trying to understand something quite simple. I have an object and I know it position, translated for example 200,100,0, I need to move an image exactly the same proportion but it is located in -607 in z axis. How can I know the x and y position to make it move like one object.

Hey Dazzid,

Not sure if I understood your question, but by the graphic you've draw looks like you could, among many possibilities, calculate x/y by using the unit circle:

x1 = cos(angle) * distance + x0;

y1 = sin(angle) * distance + y0;

where:

x0 = 200;

y0 = 100;

distance = 607;

angle = ? feels like something like -1.8... or radians(-105).

Or you could just take look at pvector and let it handle the math for you.
