HAPI is an open source project that, among other things, is developing a scalable platform for automating hydroponic and aquaponic installations. We have a small, active development team that is currently focused on developing the nuts and bolts of sensor reading and controlling lights and pumps and such. The control and monitoring platform is based on Raspberry Pi and Arduino, BeagleBone Black is in the wings. But on the UI side we're looking at PHP and Python and I want more than that.
I'd really like to have a sharp-looking UI that users will become addicted to. I've played a little with Processing (it's the same IDE as Arduino) and really like the approach. However, I'm no expert and I don't have the time required to really get my head around it. Would you like to be a part of a project that will help revolutionize food production? Want to entice people to grow their own food, all clean and healthy, organic and non-gmo? We need you!
If you're interested, please contact me.
Thanks,
Tyler Reed
