Open DMX in Netbeans

Hi there guys

Just joined this forum and glad to be a part off it, sorry for kicking off my first post with a question but its a rather generic one which probably is something silly.

I've been working on some code which uses an Open DMX library located here: http://ig.hfg-gmuend.de/how-to/dmx-and-processing

It all works fine in processing, however I've tried using the library in the Netbeans IDE and have come across an error; this being "java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no opendmx in java.library.path"

Just wondering if anyone has come across this error before, and if so is there a workaround for it?, thinking it may be driver related as there are two separate drivers for my DMX hardware installed on this system.

Any help would be appreciated

You need to use VM options to point to your library path (native libraries) . I explain how I did it for opengl on my blog here, so you only need to point to the folder where DMX drivers are, it is at the bottom of the blog entry.

Thanks for your replies, This may sound a bit silly but when you say point it to the folder where my DMX drivers are, do you mean the actual drivers for my hardware, or the supplied files I got with the OpenDmx library?

The actual drivers for the hardware, eg *.dll windows *.so unix etc. However If any similar where included with OpenDmx library (I saw something about C++ code so may'be those also/instead) they are probably in a sub-folder of the library. I'm not familiar with OpenDmx but similar applies to openCL which I needed to compile for myself being a 64 bit user. See below with joal_native libs
