noobs question about Unfolding Maps

i'm trying to run this example http://unfoldingmaps.org/examples/50_overviewAndDetailViewport.html

on win 7 with processing 1.5 and on mac os 10.7 and it's giving me syntax error on token package.

i'ive seen this top https://forum.processing.org/topic/processing-opengl-and-windows-x64, but seem it's not worked for me on win

that's not a processing sketch, it's a java class. you can't open it in the processing ide, you need eclipse.

mmm i dont know, if someone can tell me: but is it possible to achieve this effect ( overview and detail viewport) in processing without digging in eclipse.

it *might* just work if you remove the package definition and the class wrapper

nice example, works good for me.

but there is an another example in your link, it looks different from yours here.

I just poorly unwraped the example from a class and added the necessary imports, the example is the same. Also if you edit the subject of the question adding Unfolding in it, you might get some response from the guys developing Unfolding. tillnm is always replying topics around.

As kooogy suggested, and v.k. kindly did, you need to adapt the Java examples to be runnable in Processing. Mostly it's simply removing the package and class definition lines.

It is a bit of a hassle, but on the other hand in Unfolding there are much more Java examples, so it might be worth it.
