new user - why is my applet just a grey box?

When run in processing, it works fine.

I export to an applet, then open index.html, and the page only have a grey box the right size.

And a howdy out to all you people in interwebs land

hey, thanks for the fast response.

I'm guessing I'll need to read up on images, and how to include them in your applet

If you put candle.jpg in a folder data, you only need call "candle.jpg" this will also work better when exporting the applet. The image needs to be the "right size" unless you resize it. I suggest you check documentation.

Solved!

" To load correctly, images must be located in the data directory of the current sketch"

Right there it was. I'm now feeling much more confident in the doco.
