Processing Programmers,

I just wanted to let everyone know about my new book about Processing/Beads. It is aimed at visual artists who might not be familiar with Processing's power as a multimedia art platform. It is available as a free pdf, as well as in print and Kindle formats from Amazon. It demonstrates the standard sound art arsenal, including examples on synthesis, sampling, I/O, filters, granulation .... etc. All the examples are written for the Beads Library in Processing.

My blog post about it is here: http://computermusicblog.com/blog/2011/09/19/sonifying-processing-the-beads-tutorial-introduces-sound-art-creation-in-processing/

And you can download the book/code here: http://computermusicblog.com/blog/sonifyingprocessing/

Thanks for reading!

Thank you so much for this contribution to the community. It's an approachable yet very thorough intro not only to the Beads library but to sound synthesis in general.

Thanks for your nice comment! All the credit goes to Ollie Bown for creating the awesome Beads library.
