Nevermind all that, just look at this...

Its your Addchild example that I've changed a bit, I also changed Rectsprite class, so you to can just copy and paste it over your the 2 files in the sketch. I wrote the keyPressed() function, and changed some of the basic code.

This helps to illustrate my problem,
 if you hold down a key at runtime, it is supposed to draw a dot in the centre of the rects...

now at the top of the draw function, there are the rotation lines:

  sprite1.rotationZ += 0.00;
  sprite2.rotationZ += 0.00;

if you change them to:

  sprite1.rotationZ += 0.01;
  sprite2.rotationZ += 0.00;

run it, and hold down a key again, now it doesn't draw in the middle of the second rect anymore.

this is the problem I'm having. I think. :)

Is this the wrong way of using the method? or am I missing something?

hm, yeah, it does appear to be working incorrectly.  let me take a look and get back to you...

ok.  looks like i was iterating through ancestor transforms the wrong direction.  in NestSprite.localToGlobal(), instead of applying transforms moving back up the family tree, transforms should be applied from the top (NestSpriteContainer) down.

Cool, it looked to me like something like that.

what needs to go into the .jar file?

This is most fun I have ever had with a programing project. Big thanks to your lib.

Now a tech question...

I'm trying to get the Nestsprite.hittest() method going in my project. but I'm kinda confused on how it works.
Do you mind giving a small example of the method.

I set the bounds in my constructors, but then I still need to add the current sprite's x,y to the bounds to get the world co'ords, (which is where the colliding Point2D is). now it has the bounds of the object in the world and it works, but when I rotate the object the bounds still stay square.

Am I going about this the wrong way?

I would like to localToGobal any point of any scene graph tree, and then hittest that global point with the calling sprites bounds.

Am I making any sense? I'm bit confused about what the transforms in the hittest method does, but it looks like it's for testing scaled and rotated bounds rects, which would be awesome.

anyway...

If you think an example would help me understand, please give some code, or a link.
