Need Help on magnetic field simulation

Hello,
I want to develop an application to simulate magnetic field with 2 or 3 bar magnets.I read about magnetic field on wikipedia too but not getting how to program the magnetic field direction.
Can anyone please suggest me any tutorials or program so as to proceed further.
