Hi,
I was thinking to do some kind of a multiple RSS Feed Window using processing. At this project I need open pdf, images(jpeg,maybe gif), websites and then display them on a divided window.
Something like this:

I was thinking to convert the pdf files to any kind of image using: http://pdfbox.apache.org/
But I had no ideas for the Web RSS Feed.
Is this viable using processing?

loadXML() can take an URL, IIRC.

Moved here from Programming Questions because you don't show code (and in the current state, it is really a generic question...).

Once you start designing your program, try to make correct architectural decisions. In this case: try to avoid hard-code layout into your code, but rather try implementing it in form similar to the Live Grid or Fluid grids of Twitter Bootstrap http://getbootstrap.com/2.3.2/scaffolding.html . It will be harder in the beginning, but will pay out in the end, because your sketch will work with ANY size of the screen and will comply with rules of "responsive design".

Very possible, looks similar to a project I did a while back for a client:

We had three 'zones' a content zone controlled by a CMS, a Twitter zone, with live tweets, and an rss ticker along the bottom with news content.

A few key libraries to look at are:

twitter4j which is a java library, but can be modified to work well in processing.

jsoup another java library, very handy for parsing html rss feeds

romefeeder which takes an array of feed urls and has methods to help refresh.

Ani because everything is better when animated. :)

Really, it's a matter of breaking down the project into sections and tackling them one at a time. The video above is from my first real implementation of processing, since then a few other similar projects have come my way and each one goes smoother than the last.

dimkir makes a great point of being flexible. the original app was designed for a specific format, but since then I have had to manually modify to fit different aspects. It becomes quite tedious, and you look like a hero when you think of that kind of thing ahead of time.

Your project was amazing ! Congratulations!
I'm doing it for my college, it should work as a "remind board/news board", also showing the traffic situation around the campus.
