How to make an array's list "be absorbed" by the mouse when it is pressed (all objects moving continuously to the position of the mouse when it is pressed)?

what you probably mean is moving objects stored in an array list of objects towards the mouse position.
there are definitely different ways to do that.
one way to do so would be to make use of some physics libraries like traer physic.
using negative and positive forces you easily attract objects when the mouse is pressed.

Just find the vector that points from each object to the mouse position and move every object by a speed that you want.

To find the vector, do the following:

float speed = 0.1;
float d = dist (object.x, object.y, mouse.x, mouse.y);
vector.x = (object.x - mouse.x) / d;
vector.y = (object.y - mouse.y) / d;
float delta.x = vector.x * speed;
float delta.y = vector.y * speed;
object.x += delta.x;
object.y += delta.y;

------------------------------------------------------or, the second way:

float speed = 0.1;
float angle = atan2(mouse.y - object.y, mouse.x - object.x); //no error, it goes as y then x
float delta.x = speed * cos(angle);
float delta.y = speed * sin(angle);
object.x += delta.x;
object.y += delta.y;

I think that is really what I want to do, but processing doesn't recognize "delta".

I know delta is the difference between two values; I have to replace delta by some concrete values or some word recognized by processing?
