Mouse movement and cursor movement

Hi!

I'm not really a specialist in programmation, but I have a simple question. Is it possible, with processing, to distinguish the movement really done by the mouse and the one by the cursor ? And if it's not possible with processing, is it possible with other programming language.

And, i know that my request could seem weird, but I like to know if someone could work with me on a small project that involve to use those data. (can't say a lot about the project, it's quite private)

What is the difference between mouse movement and cursor movement? If by mouse you mean the real physical device on the desk, I doubt you can track that realistically.

Yep, its quite the idea. let say that they are some program that can move the cursor with no need to move the mouse. I'd like to know what is the distance that is due to the mouse and the one that is due to the program that affect the cursor. Is it really impossible in any language?

It is nearly impossible. Unless, perhaps, you make your own mouse driver in place of the system's one, distinguishing signal from the physical device from simulation of the system. Such driver would be written in C or C++, probably.
