I was interested in programming my Android phone so I've gotten 2.0a3 downloaded and running. So far, so good. Except, I'd also like to be creating some 3D applets and the export doesn't work yet. I'm only 1 week into Processing, so there's alot I don't know about how things work out. Should I install 1.5 if I want to export applets or should I assume this problem will be solved before too long? Is there a problem installing both releases at the same time on the same machine?

- Not a Processing Implementation question. Please, read the descriptions of the forums, don't guess them.
- The a in the version number means it is an alpha release, ie. something unstable, where you can expect lot of bugs.
- So, you better start with a stable release, namely 1.5.1
- And yes, I have several versions of Processing on my computer, without problem: there is no install (on Windows at least), so no conflict. At worse, you can have trouble knowing which version will open when you double-click a .pde file (still on Windows), but this can be fixed in the registry.

OK... I've installed and run 1.5.1. It still has a problem with "white screen applets" when run under OpenGL (e.g., example TexturedSphere) but works OK w/ P3D. (I believe this is same problem for 2.0a3 where P3D is in reality OpenGL?). Also verified that my "stable text" problem is solved by textMode(SCREEN), so I hope as 2.0 is finalized that either textMode(SCREEN) is re-instated or a simple replacement / workaround is identified.

thanks to all the volunteers who make Processing "go". I've been involved for a week or so and continue to be most impressed.
