'Kinect for Windows' compatible with OpenNI?

Has anyone tried this? I want to use Processing to prototype something and I need the close range capability of the Kinect for Windows sensor.

Hello!

I tried to install Open NI with kinect for windows,didn't work for me unfortunately!

Looks like open NI would not be able to support until there is support extended by Microsoft for the mac and linux !
