JPG data without saving to file?

hello all,
i'm having another question: i was wondering if there was a way to get the contents of a PImage as JPG data without saving to/loading from a file.

Mmm, I planned to make a better answer, but then family and a game I just discovered, LinCity--NG, took me some hours...

As fjenett said. There is also a (probably similar) answer in the Save to Web / Post to Web threads.

i tried the "save as jpeg" thingy, but java keeps complaining about not knowing about any BufferedImage class. drats.

You have to import the appropriate Java packages. Look them up in the Java API reference. Or, as said, search the code I mention (save to Web), it should be self-contained.
