Steps:
1) Get a basic webcam working.

2) Find a face tracking library. Get an example working - maybe just with a static image at first.

3) Then get it tracking faces on the camera feed.
4) Create a wave effect where there are faces.

now, i only got 1 code working... the "you are einstein" code that is the only face tracking working fine for me.. try to put wave image instead of the einstein picture.. but not satisfied with it.. so i guess i wanna try animated wave that is generated by processing code.. as i can make it interesting... hope u will help me with this? can u suggest me a code maybe? to generate wave effect by processing code..??

ronald, i already suceed until face tracking, now i need to know how to put wace effect generated by processing itself on the face..

Here's a wave effect. Use the custom function drawWave() which takes as parameters the x and y position, the number of waves and the maximum radius. A fade to transparency is builtin. You can play with the code by changing things and seeing what happens visually as a result of that.
