Please treat me like a small, slow child as I'm newer than can be with processing.

I have Processing 1.5.1

I am confused by the instructions on installing Minim 2.1.0 Beta. I erased the minim folder here " Contents/Resources/Java/modes/java/libraries "

but am confused where the new minim folder goes? Same location?

No.

To install either distribution, unzip the file into the libraries folder in your sketchbook. Create this directory if it doesn’t exist. The zip should extract a directory named minim. You will then need to remove the version of Minim that is included with Processing.

Put it in the libraries folder in your sketchbook. On Windows, that's something like C:UUDocumentsProcessing and on Mac, it's similar.
