Moved from implementations (writing Processing stuff in other languages) to Integration (using Processing in various environments).

The answer is clear, alas, if the site doesn't allow uploading the necessary stuff to its site, you have either to change site, or to show your applets elsewhere. OpenProcessing.org, for example, is a good place to share sketches.

I have already looked at that post and that's where I got the link for more detailed discussion and referred to it in my original post. The solution there applies to wordpress.org only and not to wordpress.com

hmm ok, i cant remember who did it, but i know it is possible to upload your sketches elsewhere and then use an inframe to implement them into your wordpress blog. maybe thats an option.

edit: found it. here is the post. he used it to add his applets to blogger.com but maybe that works for you as well

Putting a Java applet (from Processing) into a WordPress post is not simple. Following advice in the Processing forum, I resorted to the (deprecated) <applet> tag instead of using the markup generated by Processing. I had to do my final edits in the HTML editor and insert the <applet> tag with no linebreaks. Do not go back the visual editor if you do this--it will clobber the applet markup (you could probably fine tune MCEdit to get around this).

It goes sort of like this (with no linebreaks in the APPLET tag attributes):

That said, I think OpenProcessing is a great place to post applets (I should do it, too, I've had the link in my navigation bar long enough). When I post to one of my own pages, I no longer embed the applet, I provide an image linked to a straight HTML page. I got tired of the gyrations necessary for embedding an applet.

I was not able to get ignotius's workaround to go. Plus, it's not HTML5 compliant (not a huge deal).

A better solution, and somewhat easier (for me), is this:

Download the Wordpress extension raw-html (search for it on the wordpress site)

1) Export your Processing project as usual
2) Upload the files in your applet folder (you do not need to upload 'index.html', (though it doesn't hurt)
3) Open up the index.html file in the applet folder you exported to (on your local system)
      i) Change all of the *.jar files from 'My_Applet_Name.jar" to "http://YOURWEBSITE.com/.........." where YOURWEBSITE is just your domain name, and the ... indicates whereever you saved your .jar files into. Forinstance, as standard location is "http://YOURWEBSITE.com/wp-content/upload/2010/09/My_Applet_Name.jar"
      ii) Change the *.gif loading message to have the parth to their upload location as well
      iii) DO NOT change the subapplet lines. These are relative names that must stay the same
4) Write <!--start_raw-->            (two dashes)
5) Copy and Paste your edited html code from index.html into the lines below <!--start_raw-->
6) Write <!--end_raw-->

DONE!

The thing to remember is that raw-html does not work with standard applets, just html, css, and javascript. It's basically just a plugin that tells wordpress to back the eff off of the html "helping." Make sure you're in html mode, not visual mode.

Hey,
I get the using the extensions(in wordpress) and all that(though very low rated). What about the "data" folder in processing.js? Like if i wanna do data visualization with some data, and use it as a background animation(in wordpress), what about that?
By the way, i m using wordpress.
