3D printers and other digital milling machines require 3D files of the desired shape. This is mostly stl or obj format. However, access to software such blender, openscad and others is not easy for everyone.

Image2stl is an application that I realized in order to allow the creation of 3D object intended or not printing via cnc, from a basic 2D namely a jpg or png.To do this, simply drag the images in the adjacent folder and launch the application. It is possible to navigate inside the folder and specify various parameters such as height, color inversion, or the establishment of a border.

Currently, image2stl only works jpg, jpeg or png feature a colored background (preferably in contrast with the object of the image).
