I'm not exactly sure why you want to use HSB and RGB at the same time. If all you want to do is make your background semi-transparent the only thing you need to change is the alpha-channel value, which is either the second or fourth value depending on what color mode you're using.

Making the background transparent makes no sense. It's a real trick to see what's drawn behind your program!
